This directory comprises the Glowbugs mailing list archives.

The Glowbugs archives are concerned with the vacuum tube era of radio
and contain various kinds of historical and constructional information
relating to the early days of radio from about 1900 through 1960.

Files are stored in gnuzip compressed format.  Such files end in a
fileextent of .z, or .Xz, or .XXz where the z denotes a gnuzipped file.
Some files are not gnuzipped.  To uncompress the gnuzipped files:

    gzip -d filename.psz      (for a postscript file)
    gzip -d filename.txz      (for a text file)....., etc.

A dos version of gnuzip is available as gzip.exe, here, or the whole
gnuzip suite is available from prep.ai.mit.edu in the pub/gnu directory.
Check the DOSutilities directory, here for gzip, ghostscript, and other
things useful in the printing of these files.

To print postscript files on a non-postscript printer, you will need to find
the ghostscript utility, also available at prep.ai.mit.edu/pub/gnu.
